Friday September 16, 2011
The bell rang. I was late for class, again. I quickly rushed into the room before anyone noticed. My teacher Mrs. Hosken, a 52 year old crippled lady, yelled, "Melanie Faber! Why are you late to class everyday?" I couldn't stutter a word. This lady was ruining my life because of all the detentions I've received. Its only the beginning of the year in September and I already have 6 detentions to serve, 2 of which are lunch detentions. It wasn't my fault I was late, my classes were so far away from each other and there were so many strict teachers. Mrs. Hosken, muttered a few words as she signed another detention slip. I sat down next to my new friend Megan. Mrs. Hosken announced to the class that we will be sharing our journals today to the whole class. I stared at her with shock. My journal was private and I didn't want anyone listening to it! Mrs. Hosken was giving me the evil eye and called me up to share my journal first. My legs were shaking as  I walked up to the front. What could I do? Share my story? No.... Instead I shared a fake story pretending it was from my journal. I talked about the time I broke my arm from falling down from a tree. Sure it wasn't the best story, but I just wanted to get it over with. After I finished, I quickly rushed over to my seat to continue the thoughts I was thinking before. Oh right, I was thinking about what I was doing after school. Let's see, homework..... Normally I had things to do after school, but surprisingly today I didn't! I was so happy realizing this. Usually I would have dance practice, guitar practice, or swimming. The bell interrupted by thoughts and gathered my books to leave school. It was finally the end of the whole school week. FRIDAY! After I got out of school, I walked home with Megan home. This weekend was jam-packed. I couldn't wait!
